Inside the song
What it holds.
This is a song about grace refusing to remain abstract. Love is active here — crossing every distance we create and meeting us in the places we thought were beyond reach.
It is also about the strange relief of finally being caught: the moment resistance gives way and being found becomes better than being free to keep running.
First light
Where it began.
The title arrived first, carrying motion inside it. It suggested a song with a pulse — something that could feel like pursuit without feeling threatening.
The writing grew from looking back at seasons that once seemed random and recognizing a thread of mercy running through all of them.
